Objectives

Why does this project exist?

In rural areas of Italy, Latvia, Romania and Spain, many museums, theatres, libraries and galleries lack the resources they need to be accessible. This leaves people with sensory disabilities out, as they face barriers to enjoying culture on equal terms.

This project was born to change that reality. We do it hand in hand with persons with disabilities, creating useful tools for cultural workers and raising awareness among decision-makers. Our goal is to make cultural spaces – both physical and digital – inclusive and accessible for everyone.

Vision

We want a Europe where culture and tourism are accessible to all, no matter where you live or what your abilities are. We believe that Universal Design is not only fair, but also a source of innovation and sustainability for rural areas. Our aim is to make accessibility the rule, not the exception.

Values

Universal Accessibility

Designing for all people from the very start.

Co-creation

Actively involving people with disabilities in decision-making.

Sustainable Inclusion

Creating a real, lasting, and permanent impact on rural communities
